Valentine's Day!

Over the past few years my love for Valentine's Day has grown. A lot of people say that it's just a Hallmark holiday, and sure it can be. BUT what is wrong with having an extra special day? To go out of your way to show love to people. Who doesn't love love? I get real excited doing these things for my family. Melanie was EXTRA loving. She made sure to tell us how much she loved us.... over and over again:)

We spent the couple weeks leading up to the big day doing some fun crafts.

Ok, don't mind the mess. Abby and Lacey tore up the place while we were doing crafts.:)  I suppose I should at least try and hide it for the pics! But let's be honest people, it's real life!

Melanie was SOOO cute making her Valentine's for her friends.

Abby joined us for a little while.

She also helped make heart shaped oreo cookies for her friends.

Sorry Mel, didn't do your hair yet for these pics!

I love the morning of any holiday. I love the kids waking up to decorations and all the excitement. I made heart shaped pancakes, and I enjoyed my homemade edible arrangement from my man! We enjoyed eating breakfast and going around the table saying what we loved about each other.

We had some friends over for a lunch play date. We enjoyed some heart shaped grilled cheese and strawberry smoothies. Then the girls helped me make a heart shaped pizza. And last but not least Drew and I enjoyed some Froyo after the girls went to bed:)

Random Kid Pics

Melanie is doing a dance class and loves it! It is seriously the cutest thing. I wasn't sure if she would be shy or not into it, but no need to worry, she is so comfortable out on that floor. She loves twirling in her dance clothes, and she practices the positions at home.

She has completely attached herself to the girl sitting next to her. They have the same outfit on, so I guess she feels like they should be best friends.

We love our play dates! This is at the zoo. Since it has been FREEZING here, we have to find some fun indoor activities. They have a really fun play room there that the girls love.

Here are a few funny pictures of Melanie and Carson that I just had to put up.
Melanie's face here is so cute. She really adores him.

I love that he can play her games, and she plays his.
I am not exaggerating when I say that they have to be near each other. Like ALL.THE.TIME. I love it. Unless things turn ugly, then some space is good.

Abby has been going through some sleep issues, so I get a little extra time with her. She is the first one up from naps, and I just really enjoy watching her. I love the way she eats apples. She takes one bite out of one, puts it back and takes a bite of the next one, and so on until just the peel is left. Drew laughs at how much I love to watch them eat. It is so stinkin cute. Until they throw it on the floor.... that's not cute.

Don't mind Mel's face here. Just snuggling up.
They are constantly sitting on each other and rolling around hugging each other.

Just another example. Don't mind the butt shot.

This woman loves heals and purses.

Melanie over came her fear of the mouse at Chuckie Cheese and took a picture with him in it at Kylie's birthday party.

Just rockin out at Target.

This girl loves to play in the snow. It doesn't matter that it is freezing cold.

Just hiding from the doctor. No one likes shots.

29!

I can't believe we only have one more year left of our 20's!! Better live it up! We had some fun birthday celebrations this year, so here's some pics.

Melanie wanted me to wear her birthday crown all day. So of course I did:) Who doesn't want to wear a crown?
Drew and I went to the Melting Pot for my birthday. BEST. DINNER. EVER. I think I said "this is so fun!" like ten times. (Thanks to Jena and Logan for watching our kids)
Jena, Ashley and I went out to an awesome pizza place. They even had a milkshake bar! Loved it.
Sorry this pic is blurry (nice goin Logan;) But I loved it, so I am posting this one.
We went to Tucano's with some friends to celebrate Drew's birthday. I told them it was his birthday (which he specifically told me not to do) so they came and sang and gave him dessert. I couldn't resist:)

It was such a fun night. And I just absolutely love this place!
