Update

So these past few weeks have been crazy, and it's only going to get more crazy. So first off we went to Bear Lake last weekend with 3 other couples who we have been friends with for a long time. Meghan's grandparents own a cabin up there. It was kind of like the last hoorah before we move. It was a lot of fun.
On another note, school has been super busy. I have cleared out my classroom and it looks really sad. I think it makes the kids sad, but they also know it's almost over so they're crazy at the same time. We have been able to do a lot of fun things now that testing is over!! I am going to miss my school sooooo much. I had a very interesting class this year, and not to say that I am not going to miss them, but I am ready for a break. I got a job for next year as a third grade teacher. I am excited to be going back to 3rd grade. I loved 2nd as well, but I dealt with a lot more crying (not me, them, although sometimes I felt like I wanted to). It's going to be hard for any school to compete with Spring Creek. Provo school district is really nice compared to a lot of places. It's interesting because I am sure my new school won't have everything Spring Creek has, but I will get paid like 4 thousand dollars more. So there is a trade off I suppose. Anyway, we're excited because now we can probably buy a house!
I have to say I am sooo sad to leave Provo. When I first got here I didn't think I would get attached at all, but it feels like home to us now. There are so many things that I am going to miss like, all of our friends, Cafe Rio (funny that it came to my mind before everything else), Provo River Trail, our garden, the mountains, Spring Creek, BYU sports, BYU everything, our house, and mormons everywhere! It has been such a blessing to be here. I have learned so much and have made so many good friends who I know I will keep in touch with. Everyday I say stuff like, "oh this might be the last day I drive on this road." Or, "This might be the last time we sit out on our porch."
All that being said, we are excited for the move to Colorado, and I will be happy to be near family and friends again.

Craziness getting in that water!

BYU track runners come to play kickball! They were very good at getting them hyper!

Our sweet limo. One of the parents owns a limo business, so I made a deal with him at the beginning of the year, if all my kids passed their 2nd grade sight words we could take a limo ride. It was awesome. We drove around, went to a park, ate donuts, and acted like movie stars.

Well said, well said. I too am going to be sad to leave, but I also feel like it is time to move on. I am excited but at the same time I am a little nervous and sad. Anyway, I dominated the kickball. I was the MVP for sure. Love ya.

Good luck packing everything and getting out here! I'm sad that you're sad to leave, but I can't deny that I'm excited you'll be in Colorado! We'll have to all get together soon...like the day you get moved in and all...don't want to wait too long, you know...:-)

Coolest teacher ever. I'm making you a plaque...or something. :) I never even lived in P-Town, yet I have a love as well. I also have a love for you and am glad that you're my sista-in-law. Congrats on moving back to the 3rd grade! Maybe I really will make you a plaque that you can hang in your new classroom so that your students will be instantly impressed.

Kristen!!! I found you! I can't believe you are moving back to Colorado! Where will you be living?
I don't know if you heard, but they split up the U2 ward and we are now in bishop Morgans ward. Crazy! I hope I get to see you when you get here!

Always sad to leave a place you've grown to love. I get all nostalgic, too.
But then you get to the new place, and you find out it's flippin' sweet, too.
Love the Limo ride.

So glad you got the job and that you are happy about third grade. THey called for a reference and I said they couldn't go wrong with you.

So glad you came to Provo and Spring Creek. You are such a great teacher.

Hope Dance FEstival was fun today. I was thinking about that this morning. :)

Good luck on your move and can't wait to hear about your new adventures!

You will miss Cafe Rio for the rest of your life. I didn't know how much I loved Provo and the accessibility to some awesome mountain hikes and views until we moved away. Provo Canyon is just 10 minutes from campus!!! I still miss it, but like Mark said you learn to love the new place just as much. Even if it averages 100 degrees during the summer.
